The performance required of radiator hoses is extremely demanding. The coolant temperature can drop below 0 degrees in the middle of winter, and once it warms up completely, the water temperature can exceed 100 degrees. It is a useless part that cannot handle considerable temperature and pressure changes. Since the genuine parts are made of rubber, most of them deteriorate over time.
