The pistons are 85.5mm made by MAHLE.
They are specially ordered by Maruha, and feature the high level of craftsmanship you expect from MAHLE, such as lightweight construction, a unique slipper skirt, and grafal coating.
The pistons are designed to be compatible with both standard cranks, and are not specifically designed for the 2.1L.
However, when used with the 2.1L, a recess is made in the bottom of the skirt to prevent interference with the cooling jets attached to the block, as the stroke is longer (4mm longer).
