The upper seat is set independently on the top of the spring, so when the suspension operates, the spring stroke is not affected by the angle change of the shock absorber, and the spring itself only strokes in the vertical direction. By using the upper seat mount, the input during this stroke acts mainly on the pillow ball. It makes you feel that the initial movement and spring rate are "hard" and "dull". In addition, three Lumina spring seats (made of special resin) are used per shock to eliminate direct interference between the spring and metal and to absorb the torsion in the rotational direction that occurs during the spring stroke.
